Annual checklists, posted on the Web and available as paper copies from county Cooperative Extension offices, promote pest management activities that are important during each crop season. The checklists are designed to be used with the UC IPM Pest Management Guidelines, which provide "how to" details for carrying out the activities. Also supporting the year-round IPM programs are detailed monitoring instructions and forms, insect, disease, and natural enemy photo identification pages, and photos of weed seedlings. New for 2007 are year-round IPM programs for apricot, avocado, citrus, pear, potato, strawberry, tomato, and walnut, bringing the total to 16. Programs for lettuce and dry beans are in progress. Find the year-round programs and the pest management guidelines under the agriculture and floriculture section of the UC IPM Web site. They are included under the specific crop.
