The second edition of this publication is a resource for growers preparing for the examination to become "certified private applicators," required before they can purchase, possess, or use restricted-use pesticides according to California pesticide regulations. To become certified, a grower must successfully pass the certified private applicator examination administered by county agricultural commissioner offices.
