True bugs (Heteroptera) distinguishable by veins and cells (vein-bordered areas) near the tip of the front wings include (left to right) damsel bugs (Nabidae), minute pirate bugs (Anthocoridae), and plant bugs (Miridae). Presented are a Nabis sp. with multiple elongate cells around the outer margin (tip) of forewings, Anthocoris nemoralis without obvious forewing cells or veins, and the western tarnished plant bug, Lygus hesperus, with one or two cells near each forewing tip.
