Pests in Gardens and Landscapes
Time to plant
Potatoes are warm-weather plants. They like sunshine
and produce best when planted in a well-exposed area
in the garden. The shoots of potato plants are sensitive
to frost so they may need some protection in colder areas
of the central valley. They can be planted 1 to 4 weeks
before the last frost date, depending upon the soil temperature. |
