Plant Identification

Zinnias are either annual or perennial plants with colorful round flowers. Flower colors vary and include white, orange, yellow, pink, red, purple, and gold. Some may have distinct markings or blotches. Flowers bloom in summer and fall and attract hummingbirds.

Optimum conditions for growth

Zinnias thrive in hot weather and prefer full sun. Plant in good soil and fertilize regularly. Zinnias require a regular amount of water. Shear spent blooms to encourage rebloom.
