Illustration of the seasonal development of the peach twig borer. Four generations are shown. Larvae are present from January through December. Adults are active from April through early November and lay eggs. Flights occur April through May first generation, late June through July second generation, August through September third generation, and September through early November fourth generation. The overwintering generation includes a portion of the second and third generation larvae, which went into hibernacula during the summer, and the fourth generation larvae.
