Degree-Days: Double Triangulation Method

Completely above both thresholds
Degree-days in this case are represented by the area under the temperature curve (straight line between a day?s min and its max) that also lies between the upper and lower thresholds. The max and min temperatures are above the upper threshold.

Formula for calculating degree-days (°D) for a 24 hour period. Accumulated degree-days are shaded areas of diagrams.

TU = Upper threshold
TL = Lower threshold
Tmax = Maximum temperature
Tmin = Minimum temperature
