Pests in Gardens and Landscapes

Sunburn on peppers and eggplants

Fruit exposed to the hot sun may become brown and leathery on the exposed surface.

Solutions

Sunburn can occur if fruit is exposed to the hot sun after the leaves have wilted. Maintain plant vigor with necessary fertilizer and water to produce adequate leaf cover.
