How to Manage Pests

Pests in Gardens and Landscapes

Brown bud of broccoli

Brown bud of broccoli is frequently seen, usually when temperatures are warm. Its cause is not known. Flower buds (beads) of broccoli turn brown as they approach maturity.

Solutions

The disease may be associated with calcium nutrition and rapid growth. Certain cultivars are apparently less likely than others are to develop the condition.
