Plant IdentificationMyrica spp. are evergreen, semievergreen, or deciduous shrubs or trees. Leaves are narrow and glossy. Flowers are inconspicuous. Fruit is coated with wax.
Optimum conditions for growthMyrica spp. are grown as screens or hedges. They prefer areas with full sun and require moderate to regular water. Bayberry is tolerant of poor, sandy soil.
