Plant identification

Maples are deciduous or evergreen shrubs or trees and vary in size.

Optimum conditions for growth

Maples do best in cool climates and are not well adapted to southern or desert climates. Maples grow well in areas with full sun to partial shade. They require deep, thorough irrigation and a ready moisture supply in the root zone.
