How to Manage Pests

Pests in Gardens and Landscapes

Euonymus—Euonymus spp.
Family Celastraceae (Staff tree family)

Plant identification

Euonymus spp. are evergreen or deciduous shrubs or evergreen vines. Many forms are available in terms of overall size and leaf colors. Many species are useful as hedges and screens.

Optimum conditions for growth

Euonymus can grow in several climatic zones depending on species. They do well in areas with full sun or light shade; there are more mildew problems in the shade. Moderate summer water is required.
