Pests in Gardens and Landscapes
Cocculus—Cocculus laurifolius
Family Menispermaceae (Moonseed family)
Plant Identification
Cocculus is an evergreen shrub or tree. Shrubs have many spreading stems. Trees take on an umbrella shape. Leaves are shiny and long with strong veins showing through. Branches can be trained as vines.
Optimum conditions for growth
Cocculus trees or shrubs are good background plants or screens. They do well in sun or shade and require regular amounts of water. Regular pruning can restrain fast growth.
