Plant Identification
Chinaberries are deciduous trees that can grow up to 50 feet high and wide. Leaves are long and narrow and divided into oval leaflets. Clusters of lilac flowers are produced in the spring or early summer and followed by berrylike yellow fruit. Fruit is poisonous if eaten.
Optimum conditions for growth
Chinaberries do well in areas with full sun and require moderate amounts of water. Trees are tolerant of heat, wind, poor soil and drought.
