How to Manage Pests

Pests in Gardens and Landscapes

Identification and confirmation: Wind injury

Wind injury can often be confused with thrips damage. In both cases, fruit is scarred. Thrips, however, cause a ring or partial ring of scarred tissue around the stem on fruit skin. Fruit damaged by wind is not marked with a ring around the stem.
