How to Manage Pests

Pests in Gardens and Landscapes

Pink bud stage

If using fungicides, apply them at bloom to give adequate control. Make your first treatment at the pink bud stage when petals start to emerge beyond the green sepals. In cool, wet years the bloom period is often extended, and a second systemic fungicidal spray may be necessary just before full bloom.
