How to Manage Pests

Pests in Gardens and Landscapes

Tissue proliferation and ligno-tubers

Tissue proliferation and ligno-tubers are latent buds from which shoots sprout in response to stress. Galls or swellings form around the base of the trunk. Tissue proliferation and ligno-tubers are not harmful, but they may indicate stress or injury.

Solutions

Inspect plants for damage or stress. Provide proper cultural care.
