How to Manage Pests

Pests in Gardens and Landscapes

Physiological leaf spot

Physiological leaf spot is an environmental disorder and is not a disease. It can be caused by heat, drought, or poor cultural care. Small discrete reddish purple spots cover much of the leaf surface during the fall and winter.

Solutions

Remove discolored leaves. Provide adequate summer irrigation. Improve drainage and increase organic content of soil.
