Peach Twig Borers, Fruittree Leafrollers, Obliquebanded Leafrollers, and Katydids

Peach twig borer Identification tip: Darker body segments give older larvae a distinctive ringed appearance.	Fruittree leafroller Identification tip: Green larva with dark head hangs from silken thread when disturbed.	Western flower thrips Identification tip: Dissect individual flowers and use a hand lens to look for thrips nymphs, which are whitish yellow to golden yellow, depending on instar.
Obliquebanded leafroller Identification tip: Yellow-green larva with brown head; hangs by thread when disturbed; difficult to distinguish from fruittree leafroller.	Katydid Identification tip: Feeding damage in the early season consists of small holes in leaves, caused by the young nymphs.	Forktailed bush katydid nymph.
