Identification tip: A trunk damaged with Eutypa dieback can have stunted and weakened shoots with shortened internodes.

Look for large pruning wound cankers caused by Eutypa dieback.

Identification tip: Leaves infected by Eutypa fungus have a tattered, misshapen appearance.

Phomopsis cane and leaf spot
Phomopsis cane and leaf spot
Identification tip: Primary infections of Phomopsis show up as small spots on basal portion of shoots.

Large number of spots give Phomopsis infected shoots a scabby appearance.

Identification tip: Damaged foliage has tiny, black leaf spots with yellowish margins.
