Manage Navel Orangeworm—Bloom to Postbloom
These activities are critical during the bloom to postbloom period for navel orangeworm management:
- Remove mummies from trees by February 1.
- Disk or flail by March 15 to destroy mummies
and the navel orangeworm larvae within them.
- Hang egg traps during the first week of April to track navel orangeworm development throughout
the season and to determine a biofix date to start accumulating degree-days.
