What are your symptoms?

Lifting up turf Curled up caterpillar Caterpillars with spots and bristles Lifting up turf to expose C-shaped grubs
Grass is thin and dying; feeding damage present on crown, stems, and roots and whitish frass may be seen; turf is easy to pull up but does not roll back; presence of whitish legless grubs Feeding damage present around crown; leaves are chewed and cut around the crown; presence of caterpillars that curl up when disturbed Leaves chewed or missing; no feeding on roots; presence of caterpillars with distinct double row of black or brown spots down their backs at the base of bristles Lawn feels spongy; feeding damage on roots; turf can be easily rolled back like a carpet; presence of white, C-shaped grubs with legs
