Identification key to broadleaf weeds in turf

Plants with wide leaves, veins branching out in different directions, are broadleaves.

Select the illustration that best matches your weed sample.

Leaves opposite or whorled Leaves alternate or in a basal rosette

Two or more leaves per node; lower leaves opposite or whorled

 One leaf per node; lower leaves are alternating or in a basal rosette
