Plant Identification

Sago palms are evergreen plants, resembling miniature palms.  Dark green, feathery leaves form a rosette coming out of a single point at the top of the trunk.  Plants produce oval red or orange seeds.

Optimum conditions for growth

Sago palms are good houseplants or patio plants.  They do well in areas with partial shade and require regular amounts of water.  Protect from frost.
