Pests in Gardens and Landscapes
Nonparasitic needle blight or browning and shedding
Needles affected by nonparasitic needle blight turn brown. Needles and branchlets die. Branchlets fall,
particularly in the late summer.
Solutions
A certain amount of older needle and branchlet shedding occurs and is increased by drought conditions.
Provide enough water.
