Lacy scab, also known as russet scab, occurs on plums and prunes. The waxy coating on the fruit is cracked. Fruit may be superficially russetted mostly on the stylar end.
Solutions
Lacy scab is a physiological disorder that develops in years of excessive rain during and soon after bloom. It does not usually cause major problems and can be tolerated. No treatment is required.
