Coordinator Lori Berger switches projects

After completing her work to document the critical uses of chlorpyrifos in alfalfa, almond, citrus and cotton crops, Lori Berger continues to work with UC IPM but at the head of a new project about pests, pesticides and IPM. Funded by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation, Berger will gather information from stakeholders about their concerns and solutions for pesticide use in agriculture, with the goal of an ongoing conversation about pest management in a sustainable food system.

Berger’s work on the critical uses of chlorpyrifos resulted in a report covering uses and needs in four crops, training throughout the state, and a decision-support tool that can be used to document pest management decision making.
