Online training

The UC Statewide IPM Program provides online courses that reflect the newest advances in pest management and related topics. Selected courses are approved by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) for Continuing Education units. Some are also approved for structural units from the Structural Pest Control Board (SPCB), Certified Crop Advisor (CCA), Western Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture (WCISA), and also by Arizona Department of Agriculture. Please note early-bird prices are available through October 31st.

Our online courses are located at eXtension. This platform offers courses from all across the country, including several providers from California. Look for the UC IPM logo to be sure you are taking one of our courses.

Air Blast Sprayer Calibration

(CEUs - DPR: 0.5 Pesticide Laws & Regs and 2.0 Other)

Provides information on the basic principles of spray calibration including calculations, describes the components of a sprayer, and takes a look at how droplet size, nozzle type, and weather conditions influence drift and spray coverage. Also covered are conditions for pesticide applications under the 2018 Pesticide Use Near Schoolsites regulation.
