Pest Management by Early Harvesting—Spring

Early harvests can reduce populations of some insects such as weevils and aphids, and it can also reduce losses from some leaf and stem diseases. Consider early harvest instead of treatment for the problems listed below. Names link to more information on identification and management.



  • Common leafspot
  • Downy mildew
