IPM in Schools Training DVDs

Publication 6589D - 160 minutes - $35.00

This set of DVDs was designed as an educational tool for school IPM coordinators, administrators, maintenance staff, private contractors, and others involved in managing pests in schools.  Used and distributed at school IPM workshops throughout California, the DVDs will also be useful for anyone who manages pests in and around public or private buildings, including public agency personnel or private contractors, especially those interested in less-toxic strategies.

Four self-contained modules are included in the package:  General IPM Principles, Ants, Cockroaches, and Weeds.  Each module includes a narrated presentation filled with colorful images and videos, followed by interactive scenarios to foster audience participation and reinforce key points. Handouts and ideas for hands-on activities are also included.

The programs can be played on any DVD player including DVD-equipped computers.   Each of the four modules takes about 40 minutes to complete. The DVDs were created by the University of California Statewide IPM Program in cooperation with the California Department of Pesticide Regulation IPM for Schools Program.
